Dropping the atomic bomb was necessary to ending the war. To what extent was this true for those making the decision in 1945?
This is the question Dionne and I are focusing on for our project. Within the project we will be addressing the following three objectives:
1. Analyze the decision to use the atomic bomb and the consequences of doing so.
2. Relate new wartime inventions to scientific and technological advancements in the civilian world.
3. Compare the varying perspectives of victims, survivors, bystanders, rescuers, and perpetrators during the Holocaust.
I think that your objectives are great for your Essential Question. Maybe for objective 1, you can tie in some of the medical consequences of the atomic bomb on the Japanese people who lived in proximity. Just to add a little bit of an Allied Health feel to it! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the Harry Potter thing and your color scheme Megalin!!
ReplyDeleteGoing off of what Caroline said, it would be like Sadako Sasaki in the book "Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes".
Just a thought.
I just cannot wait to learn about the atomic bomb from your presentation Meagan. Good luck, I know you will do well. I feel you have a very strong topic and many things to talk about under the atomic bomb.
